American Idol Addiction

As I sit here watching American Idol, I wonder what it is that draws me in to the horrendous weeks of auditions. Most of the contestants they show during these initial episodes are the ones that are painfully tone-deaf, and have either no personality, an extremely wild personality, or a factitious one, at that. Are they really supposed to pull our heart-strings with their fabricated sob stories? The producers seem to think so, since they are the ones who decide to place these people on television to expose their deepest fears, regrets, and timely unfortunate events. We can never be sure why we are so entertained by the humiliation of others, however, I will remain a fan and watch every week as our favorite (yet to be shown) barks his way into Randy's dog pound.

That's exactly it though, they know which clips to show so that it keeps people watching... it is so sad though. Glenn and I sit there and go.. "is this for real?" and Glenn said he could never be a judge, he would let everyone go to Hollywood because he feels so bad for them. The poor people.. honestly some of them are just down right ridiculous!!
